Liquid Facelift
As we age, our faces progressively show various changes in the form of skin laxity, wrinkles and loss of the youthful subcutaneous fat. This subcutaneous fat plays a very important role by providing ‘volume’ that in turn offers ‘support, fill and lift’ to our faces in our younger years.
When our faces age, this loss of volume in the mid-face creates areas of flatness and ‘hollows’ that create a ‘tired’ and ‘aged’ appearance. By adding a volumising Dermal Filler to these areas either on the mid-face or elsewhere can restore lost volume and dramatically rejuvenate the face without surgery or ‘downtime’. For even more rejuvenation, the treatment of facial wrinkles with wrinkle relaxers gives an overall approach to Facial Rejuvenation. Using these combinations of Fillers, with or without Muscle Relaxant injections, is called a ‘Liquid Facelift’
Even in relatively younger faces that do not yet show significant signs of ageing, a Dermal Filler can dramatically beautify the face by adding a little more fullness to the mid-face and cheekbone areas.
Which Facial Areas Can Be Rejuvenated By Adding Volume?
Upper Face:
- Hollowness at the temples
- Lifting of the Outer Eyebrows
Mid Face:
- Cheek Flatness/Hollows (between the eye and ‘smile line’)
- Cheek augmentation
- Tear Troughs (the curved linear groove under the eyes)
Lower Face:
- ‘Smile Lines’
- Areas of volume loss around the corners of the mouth and chin
- Chin augmentation
How Is It Done?
The procedure takes approximately 30-45 minutes. After carefully analysing your face, and with your input as to your principal areas of concern, Dr Narulla will then inject those areas. With Dr Narulla’s technique there should be very little or no bruising and most people are able to return to work and social activities the very next day.
